Q: When will my Plebe be photographed at any specific evolution (event)?
A: It is not possible to say. Here is the reason. Each platoon "cycles" through each evolution The Plebe Summer Schedule determines wjhat evolutions/platoons are photographed--and when.
Q: Will every company/platoon be photographed at every evolution?
A: NO. There are everal evolutions we try to photograph every event, but we can not guarantee it.
Q: Is every evolution photographed?
A: NO. The Naval Academy resticts the evolutions we can photograph. Other events are not appropriate or worth photographing, such as an eye exam, dentist, uniform measurement.
Q: Do you phtograph only Plebes when they are "in action"?
A: NO. We photograph Plebes even if not in an "in action" moment. We are there to record the event and also to provide "proof of life."
Q; What is a "watermarked" photograph?
A: It is a photograph that has writing over it to protect our copyright. If you purchase a file on Spot My Photo , the watermark disappears. You then have a copyright realese for the phtorgaph. You can use it for personal use. For your Photo Access, there are no watermarks.
Q: Can you photograph my Plebe more times at an event?
A: Naval Academy forbids this. Not only that, but if we did, your Plebe would get in trouble.
Q: How long will the Plebe Summer 2024 photographs be available to download?
A: Through Sept 30, 2025. After that they are deleted from the website.
Spot My Photo

Q: How long will "Spot My Photo" send me notifications?
A: Through July 5. Only of Induction Day.
Q: Can I download the photographs on "Spot my Photo"?
A: You can purchase files and download.
Q: If I download a "Spot My Photo" photograph, do I need to find it on Manual Search?
A: Yes. You need to save it as a FAVORITE for your Coffee Table Book.
Q: How does Spot My Photo find my son/daughter?
A: By you uploading the senior portrait of your son/daughter to the "Spot My Photo" site.
Q: How private is "Spot My Photo"?
A: Very, in multiple ways.

1) After July 5, the photo and its coresponding algorithms are deleted.
2) No one but you can see the photographs that "Spot My Photo" finds.
Q: Can I view the rest of the photographs, the ones not found by "Spot My Photo"?
A: Yes, you would go to the Manual Search.
Q: How long does it take "Spot My Photo" to notify me after an event is posted?
A: Could be a few minutes.

Q: How long will the Manual Search galleries be available?
A: Through Sept 30, 2025.
Q: How are the galleries organized?
A: By date, company/platoon and event.
Q: Do I need to view the galleries for other companies/platoons?
A: No you do not, unless you just love to look at photographs.
Q: Will there be a Password to access the photographs?
A: Yes, it will be your Personal Private Password, not to be shared except with family.
Q: Will there be a Pin # to download the photographs?
A: Yes, it will be your Personal Private Download Pin #, not to be shared except with family.
Q: When will I receive the password and pin #?
A: A few days after your purchase access. At the beginning of the summer, this may take a day or two longer.

A: Click on the link to all the galleries.
Then click on the MORE link at the end of the horizontal lines at the top of the page.

Posting of Photographs

Q; How many times will you photograph my Plebe's company/platoon?
A: 10-12 times. Each company/platoon is photographed roughly the same number of times during the summer.
Q: How often will photographs of my Plebe's company/platoon be posted?
A: This really depends. What we phtographs is based TOTALLY on the Plebe Summer schedule, which we have a copy of.
Q: Why have there been no postings of my Plebe's company/platoon?
A: Because, most likley, there has been nothing to photograph. We have had many times when we have photographs a company/platoon three, even occasionally four times times, in two days. Then, nothing for 1-2 weeks. We have no control over this.
Plebe Portrait In Fall

Q: When are the portraits taken?
A: They start in late September. They are held at the Mexican Monument on Sunday mornings, when your Plebe is free.
Q: What uniform does my Plebe wear?
A: This is up to you but we suggest the Full Dress Blues. This is the parade uniform, which the Plebes get in mid September.
Q: What is the cost?
A: $179.95. Price includes the actual files with basic editing.
Q: How many photographs/poses do you take?
A: Usually about 20-25 photographs. Some full length, some 3/4 some head and shoulders. Some smiling and some serious.
