FINDING PHOTOGRAPHS OF MY SON / DAUGHTER

FIRST
 We suggest that you bookmark this page. It will provide you links to everything you need to know about this site. It will make life easy for you -- and save time. We also suggest you make a hard copy of it for a reference. You may want to keep it by your computer when you are on the site.
SECOND
 Be sure your registration information is correct, especially the spelling of your son/daughter's name -- and the platoon number. This info is critical to this site's search functions.
THIRD

Find photographs of your son/daughter. When you log in, you will be taken to your personal Member's Home page. Use the PHOTO SEARCH dropdown (fourth from the left) to search for photographs of your son/daughter. You can search by name, platoon, company and/or photo number. There are other search criteria available to make searching easy and fun. See the section below titled, "Photo Search" for information on how to use all the search function.

If you hover over any thumbnail, the image name will appear for a few seconds. The only part of the image name you need to be concerned with is the 5 digit unique number at the end of the file name. EXAMPLE: M_!,!,!,!,!_A_01_0_0_SCC_12345. The only number you need to know is "12345."
FOURTH

Be sure the thumbnail includes your son/daughter. There are several ways to do this:

Click on the thumbnail. A B&W larger image will pop up. To select another popup, click on the next image twice.

If the photograph is a group photograph of the class, a company, or a platoon, we will automatically make a much larger B&W image of it. This image will fill your screeen and will be cropped to faces only. We also provide you with a mganifying glass for even closer detail.

FIFTH
 When you find a photograph of your son/daughter, click on the OPTIONS dropdown below the image. Select ""Save to My Waldo." This action will copy and save the thumbnails to "MY WALDO." Everything you do starts with saving your photos to the "MY WALDO". This site will remember what you have saved from one log in to the next. When you are ready to order, you will order from "MY WALDO". An Order Wizard will guide your through the ordering process. The images in "MY WALDO" will automatically be copied from "MY WALDO" to the Wizard. They are not removed from "MY WALDO."
SIXTH
 Order photographs, photo files, or photo products by going to "MY WALDO." Click on the OPTIONS dropdown below the image to order photo files, prints, and to add the image to the Personal Slide Show on your personal Home Page.To order everything else, click on the "Products" tab. A dropdown will open. Click on the product you wish to order. A WIZARD will take you through the ordering process. Just follow directions. We suggest you wait until all images are posted (Parents Weekend) before ordering collages, calendars, Coffee Table Books, and scrapbook prints.
 
Directly below you will find the navigation tabs and explanation of each tab. .

The first tab is, "Home". It is the page you will be taken to each time you log in. It is your main navigation page. On this page you will search for photographs of your son/daughter and save them to "MY WALDO." You can always return to this page by clicking on the "Home" tab.

Click on the "MY WALDO" tab (second tab from left). Two options will appear. The first is THUMBNAIL VERSION, which will show you thumbanils of your selected images. The second option is SLIDE SHOW. This version will present to you ain almost a full monitor the selected images in a large slide show for best viewing of detail. It is from the SLIDE SHOW version that you place your orders. You will notice that we automatically place on the SLIDE SHOW version all the group photographs of your son/daughter's company, platoon, squad -- as well as any Class of 2014 photographs we take during the summer.

Hovering over this tab ( 3rd from the left) will open a dropdown of the DVDs for Plebe Summer.
DVD DROPDOWN OPTIONS DESCRIPTION (Each DVD is customized to your son/daughter's company/platoon.)
TOTAL DVD Package with GOUGE Book Includes DVD #1---Induction Day DVD, DVD # 2--Plebe Summer DVD , and DVD # 3--Platoon DVD -- as well as free interview and free GOUGE.
Induction Day @ 45 minute DVD on Induction Day, including processing in Alumni Hall, the Oath of Office ceremony --plus much more. You should see your son/daughter several times on this DVD.
Plebe Summer @ 75 minute DVD focusing on more than 30 events from Plebe Summer. Four to six of these events will zero in on your son/daughter's company/platoon. This DVD will NOT include the other 25 events.
Platoon @ a 45 minute DVD only on your son/daughter's company/platoon. It will include 4-8 evolutions.
Schedule Personal Interview This links you a page where you can schedule your interview.
Herndon/Sea Trials A DVD we produce at the end of the Plebe Year, the most important event of the year for your son/daughter.
SEARCH CATEGORY These searches are organized from most likely to least likely to find your son/daughter. We suggest to search in this same order.
Last Name Write in your son/daughter's last name --without apostrophes, hyphens. etc. Automatically all the images that we know include plebes with this last name will appear. If there is more than one plebe with the name, all of these plebes will appear.
Platoon There are about 40 plebes in a platoon. When we photograph a platoon evolution, only the plebes from this platoon will show up.
Company Each company consists of two platoons -- or 80 plebes. Use this search to find only photographs of a company event.
Event Some events we photograhs are not platoon or company specific. Click on the event to find photographs of your son/daughter.
Image Number To find a specific image, type in the five digit number only. This is the number at the end of the file name.
You will also be able with your search to sort the thumbnails by gender, date posted, old to new, new to old.

If you click on this tab (5th from left) , you will be taken to the "MY FILES AND VIDEO CLIPS" links.

Purchased File Vault This link will take you to the page where your purchased files are stored, the ones that you can download. A Copyright Release is provided at the bottom of the Purchased Files page.
Video Gallery This link will take you to DVD clips from other Plebe Summers.
Sea Trials Gallery Links you to sample clips from Sea Trials.

 

This tab (6th from right) links you to ordering the many photo products. Selecting this file will open up a dropdown. Click on any of the dropdown links to access the the photo product wizard.
PRODUCT NAME CHOICES Description
Photo of the Day The Photo of the Day images appear on the home page that everyone sees before login. You can have a large image of your son/daughter appear on this slide show. This is available from the digital files you purchase.
15 month Calendar An 8 1/2 x 11 fifteen month calendar starting with October 2010. Includes 15 photographs from the summer, important plebe dates, holidays, and Academy leave dates.
Coffee Table Book A customized, professionally bound and printed book of your son/daughter. It is a first class book that includes up to 75 images from the summer. You choose the images. The books come in two sizes. CLICK HERE for sample.
9 Scrapbook Prints This Photo Product consists of nine 4 x 6 quality prints at a reduced price. Also available in set of 18 or 27. The size of the print is 4 x 6 inches. They will all be printed on one 13x19 piece of photographic paper. It will be mailed to you in a photo photo tube, and you will need to uncurl it and then cut the prints. CLICK here for sample.
Triple Collage A 13x19 photograph with three photographs from the "First Class" PLEBE PORTARIT -- or from the summer.
Digital Files You can actually purchase the Digital File of a photo and make your own prints, or take to a camera store.
The GOUGE Your son/daughter's entire summer schedule with ten images of your son/daughter included.
Four 3 1/2 x 5 Prints on a Single Sheet of Photo Paper This photo product is an economical way to purchase 3 1/2 x 5 prints. However, you do need to order four at a time. The price per print, when you order four at a time, is $15. -- a $5.00 (of 25%) savings per print. The prints need to be different. The WIZARD will take you through the ordering process.

A few days after the sitting we will post the proofs on this page. We will also mail you (and others, if you wish) a hard copy of the proofs.

Every day we will post what your son/daughter did during the day. It is organized by company, platoon, and time of day.This link takes you to the Daily Schedule. The schedule is posted at 7:00 pm every day. 0r 1900 hrs in military time. The schedule is posted only for one day. CLICK HERE for sample. The last day for schedule posting is the last Friday before Parents' Weekend..
Clicking on this tab will take you to your Account Information where you can make changes to your registration. Click on this tab to access your personal "Account Information." You can change anything you want or need to on this page. When you are finished, click on the "SUBMIT" button. The changes will be recorded. The most important are listed to the right. Change your password.
